WEDDING PRAYER

Dear Lord, We ask for your blessings upon Jackie and Zack as
They commit to one another in Holy Matrimony
Assist them in fulfilling the promises they make to one another today.
May they be strong in their faithfulness.
May they always be steadfast in their love for one another.

Help them to be devoted to their relationship,
To encourage one another,
To help one another achieve their goals and
To be united in the many decisions
They will be required to make.

Help them to fully forgive and be forgiven by one another.
Help them, using your example of love,
To be the kind of example of love that will influence others.
Lord, You said, “Greater love has no man than this,
That a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Help Jackie and Zack
To always have this kind of love for one another because
This kind of love never fails.
In Jesus name we pray.

“A Taste of Friendship”

Desiring to make a concoction
Of flavors and colors and blends
The baker surveys the ingredients
Each ones representing her friends

Some friends are as sweet as sugar
Causing the palate to want more
Others are just like chocolate
The ones we all adore

Then there are the nuts
Meat encased in a shell
Allowing themselves to be broken
So others enjoyment can swell

Flour and spices are ground
To a powder as fine as dust
If you want flavor and unity
To have them is a must

Eggs are the ones who are beaten
To hold everything intact
Others friends go to extremes for you
Like lemon or vanilla extract

Sprinkles are poured out and scattered
For decoration that pleases the sight
For all of you that I call my friends
I hope you enjoy every bite
